Right after the LAN weekend for our ET team there is a next event to come – this time for DoD:S. Between Friday the 12th and Sunday the 14th of March, France’s finest day of defeat source teams will go head to head in what looks to be an action packed weekend in Angers, France for the Anjougame LAN. As announced on several eSports websites, our Day of Defeat source team is moving to Angers with their full line-up this upcoming weekend. CiC7 Top3 Predictions

Head of Team Rockit Fabian ‘SPU9′ H. recently sat down to ask 24 community members for their opinions on what teams will achieve top placings at the upcoming Crossfire Intel Challenge7 in Enschede. The result of the gathered information is a top three ranking with Blight and rockit on top with exactly the same amount of votes followed by YoYoTech and ‘To make odds even’ making it a top four ranking actually. The outcome of the ranking itself does not come as a surprise eventhough some might ask for ESL Major Series finalists of nOu Way! who were, together with dNan and Phantoms, not given enough points. Team Rockit have snapped up another team today after recent talks with top RtCW team =118=, it was clear that their style and attitude in gaming were of the highest order and fit straight into the rockit family where we hope they will continue their reign within RtCW! For the readers not knowing that team, one could only say they have dominated the entire community and competitions that are left in the game for about three years now. Their passion for the game they love, the similar roots we are coming from and the connection between yet two guys and rockit – being Clown and MerlinatoR – had a big impact on our decision to take those fantastic guys in.

rockit.ET seeded 2nd for CiC7

Tonight rockit.ET finished second in the seeding tournament for the upcoming CiC7 called Crossfire Intel ESL Challenge (CIEC). Having won the groupstage with easiness the play-off’s meant to become a hard task. With tough Poles of Perception pulling out a good performance, rockit struggled in the beginning but could then win the match eventually. The next opponent has been surprisingly a Polish side as well, as EMS third coming team nOu.ZOWIE wasn’t able to beat tMoe. The Poles then even took a map from us leading them into a decider map which could be won by our rockers. We then moved into the Grand Final.

ET Team faces Plug&Pown in ESL

The next weeks could become busy for our ET players as many top teams challenged our team for an ESL match. Yesterday the team could easily beat its first opponent being the all Belgian team of Overload Gaming formerly known as oceans6. The second match following right away was a bit harder as the German team Art of Wolfenstein took a map from rockit.ET leading them into a decider match that could then be won by us. Nevertheless the contenders don’t wait and today we face the next one. Plug & Pown do they call themself (fromerly Belgian Fraternity) and they’ve shown some decent performances in the past. Our team has to be concetrated as well as disciplined to get the needed win tonight.

Today another chapter of the rockit story gets written. After weeks of vainly searching a professional team for our crew, the team around dEEPY showed its interest to play under Rockit’s flag. With the purely estonian team, formerly known as Team Undisputed, we can call one of the best teams in eastern Europe our own. With alot of offline experience, these guys will represent henceforth our flag on several LAN events all over Europe. rockit.ET face Phantoms in ESL

The ESL Enemy Territory section has been enlarged with the opening of an international 5on5 Ladder lately to support the ongoing switch from the old 6on6 to the newly introduced 5on5 mode. What’s nice to see is that also the more known names within ET gave this ladder a try and the total number of registered teams just reached 65. As an active competition at the ESL can only help the game grow, also rockit.ET joined the Ladder. With so far just a few contenders for spot one we can hope for a quick rush to the top and see hopefully even more top teams to join. The first match will kick of tomorrow with Phantoms eSports as opponent.

-Cloverfield^ on the podium again

rockit.-Cloverfield^ has finished 2nd in EA’s most recent Ladder Wars Tournament, January Edition! After plenty of ranked games, spanning over 1 month, the top four ranked teams play each other in a playoff system to see who takes home the prizes – Clover first beat dignitas/Apollo 2:0 in the semi final and then came up against Wanted from the team $tars and just missed out in a close 2:1 defeat, congrats to Clover on his prizes, a CNC Tshirt and an EA PC game of his choice.

On the EA Portal Clover gets a mention, after being the only player to qualify for the playoffs for every Ladder Wars competition so far.

Cloverfield has consistently been kicking butt throughout the ladder wars, and continued his reign by taking 2nd place this month.

The February Ladder wars is now be underway, we wish Clover the best of luck for this edition of the competition!

rockit.DoD:S place third at ESL

Our Day of Defeat: Source team can look back on a successful ESL Major Series season, coming third behind zeroPoint! Gaming and FirstFrag (former TLR). Winning against zP! in the groupstage was the biggest surprise our team was able to pull off. Later on in the Play-Off’s zP! took revenge and sent rockit to the loser bracket where we’ve been able to kick the strong Finns of rctic out of the tournament by beating them with 2:0. Unfortunately Tuesday’s opponent FirstFrag was too strong for our team and the competition was over for us. The team earned themself a small piece of the prize purse being 150€ but more importantly the number three spot in Europe’s largest and most professional Day of Defeat: Source competition.

The Grand Final between zeroPoint! and FirstFrag will be played the upcoming Monday evening bringing out the winner and the final ranking of the ESL Major Series V for DoD:S. A further edition will follow most likely and we all are eager to see our team participate and show Europe what they are made of again. Congratulation to the team for the successful season!

Rockit adds DoD:S Team

With great pleasure we can today announce the recruitement of a further team under the rockit brand. With this new team we also enter a new game and a new community. As our roots are set in a small scene playing a classic WW2 online game we thought Day of Defeat: Source would fit just fine into rockit. The new team is composed of expierienced players from Germany that are sticking together for more than a year now. After several nice discussions we came to the conclusion that this team is what we were looking for.
The lineup counts ten players which is nothing special in DoD:S. The typical way lineups are presented is to distinguish between Heavy and Light weapons as well as the Sniper.
